PlayStation Video Store In Canada July 1

The wait is finally over for Canadians! The PlayStation Network Video Store will be officially available for all your downloadable enjoyment on July 1st.

The PlayStation video download service was first launched 2 years ago in the US. Since then, the service has gone live in other regions such as Australia and the UK. The service allows PSN users to buy or rent fully downloadable movies and TV shows to both their PS3 and PSP systems in both standard and high definition.

PlayStation 4 Leaked Videos?

That’s right I am just as shocked and confused as you are. After watching the trailers below I don’t know whether i am watching something that is legit or fake. Some people are saying that these trailer have been leaked and Sony is planning on showing them at E3 2010 this week. These two viral videos have appeared on the YouTube account named SCELabs. At first it was assumed that the clips were fan based, this is the perfect time to get Sony fans pumped up. To be honest, the two clips could very well be fake. So lets go to the people, do you think these videos are fake or real?

First Look at Google TV

Google is doing just about everything these days. Well today at I/O they announced they will be getting into the TV industry, which is the biggest market in the world due to its 4 billion TV viewers world wide. According to Google, “video should be consumed on the biggest, best, and brightest screen in your house, and that’s the TV.” The idea is to merge the web and TV without compromising on either the web experience or the video experience, with a focus on discovery and personalization. Of course, since it’s Google, the interface is search-driven, so you can just type in things like “30 Rock” or MSNBC” to find channels and content — including upcoming content to record and content from the internet.

Google hasnt reviled and hardware specs , but we’re told Google TV devices will have WiFi, HDMI, the Intel CE4100 processor. The input devices will all have keyboards, and you’ll also be able to use Android devices as a remote, including using voice search to find content and sending content from the phone to the TV.

As for partners, it’s just as we heard: Sony will launch Sony Internet TVs and Blu-ray players with Google TV in the fall, and Logitech will introduce a set-top box with a Harmony remote and an HD camera for video chat at some point in the future. Dish Network will also launch a Google TV box at some point, while Best Buy will promote the platform as a whole in-store.

PS3 3.30 update + Dragon Age: Origins = EPIC FAIL!!

Dragon Age: Origins the popular RPG created by Canadian developer Bioware seems to be having a few more than a few issues while dealing with the new Ps3 3.30 update. As reports and complaint file in masses. After the update anyone that is playing Dragon Age: Origins is having major freezing issues with their Ps3, some as bad as once every 15 minutes. Now Bioware and Sony are working hard to isolate and fix this issue.

New PS3′s Getting 40nm RSX Graphics Chip

Sony is going to be changing the RSX graphics chip in the PlayStation 3 to a 40nm chip. This will result in a 15 percent decrease in console power consumption when compared to the 120GB CECH-2000A PS3 Slim sporting a 65-nm RSX. The cooler running chip allows for a smaller heat sink and power supply in addition to a smaller cooling unit. Those changes combined with fewer adjoining chips around the shrunken RSX should make the console cheaper to build. This will allow for Sony to actually start to make a profit on the consoles. Once estimated to cost Sony more than $800 per losing them between $241 and $307 per console sold back in 2006.

A Siege Among Thieves

Here is some news for you Ps3 Fans that you can be happy of. It’s about a game that’s one of the highest reviewed games of 2009! The main character is voiced by non other then the man that seems to never be able to turn down a pay check Mr. Nolan North himself. (What? he’s like voice 50 billion games I’m actually getting to the point I hear him and I can tell its Nolan North)

Well it’s Uncharted 2: Among thieves. And on April 22nd it’s getting its 3rd DLC release and with this “Seige” pack will be loaded with tones of goodies for the fans it’s include:

A new co-op game mode called Seige will come with this DLC which in short description is you and your friends (up to 3 people) will defend a ever changing base form wave after wave of increasingly difficult enemies which seems very much like Horde mode, firefight or Zombie Nazis from other popular games, But they claim that the need to defend different bases as it will be constantly changing rather than just worrying about yourself puts in something different and require new strategies and it’ll be enough make it their own.
Eleven new trophies for those completionists out there to unlock. ( a list of them at the bottom)
Two new maps “The Highrise” and “The Museum” both are said to take full advantage of Uncharted’s multiplayer multilateral vertical game play you will be claiming for high ground and jumping on rooftops and weaving through corridors to flank your enemies
And finally six new multiplayer skins

How much is all this going to cost, you ask? Well lucky for you Uncharted 2 is not owned by Activision so you won’t have to pay $15, the nice people of Sony Entertainment is only asking for a fair cost of $6 for this well worth it download. That’s a thumbs up for the good people of Sony.
