Game type – Dungeon crawler, action RPG

Overall score 4.7/5 – This game’s good points far outweigh its bad points. Its not perfect, but nothing is.

Difficulty 5/5 – This game is very hard and gets harder with consecutive playthroughs making it a must have for the difficulty loving gamer.

Gameplay 5/5 – Engaging gameplay, action oriented with the focus on staying alive. It’s Very easy to die in this game, making it more fun in a lot of aspects.

Storyline 4/5 – You’re fighting demons, there is a story to this but it’s not overly engaging however the story does keep with the tempo and feel of the game well.

Graphics 5/5 – The graphics are phenomenal this game looks and feels very realistic, detached, and dreary. The graphics suit the game very well.

Sound 4.5/5 – The sound is good for the most part apart from the dialogue sequences which can be a bit cumbersome sounding. The way people talk in this game it feels like they are dragging on what they are saying

Performance 4.5/5 – Slight screen tearing issues and lag in certain areas.

Value 5/5 – Great buy, Massive world, Lots of epic bosses, and online multiplayer modes that are unique make Demons souls well worth the price.

Lots of epic bosses

Fans of the Diablo series or never winter night /Baldur’s gate series games will almost definitely enjoy this title

Full Review – The game starts with you entering the fog. The fog is a gray mist that covers a huge portion of the world, you’re never going to actually leave the fog in the game. Once you enter you follow a tutorial teaching you how to fight and a boss that is far too powerful for your current skill and will maim you. This leads you, after death, to the nexus. Without spoiling too much the nexus is like the home base of the game. You go here in between levels or if you travel back to the beginning of a level you can return here. All enemies respawn if you leave so the latter is normally a better idea. In Demon’s Souls, You Will Die. There is no avoiding it. Everyone dies, the very best player in the game might not die anymore, but when he started off he died. My own personal experience was approximately 40 deaths in the first 2 hours of play. This is brutal in some regards due to the fact that not all starting classes are very good at combat head on. Ambushes often give you little choice of how to engage your foes, however this game is not cheap. It’s very hard, but as most reviewers say Strict is a better depiction of how this game ramps up the difficulty. When you die in this game you learn, a new hiding spot enemies use, you learn what tactics work, and what ones don’t. In this way by the end of the game you feel like the ultimate badass. Having overwhelmed ridiculous odds fought through endless hordes of enemies broken the toughest and most brutal bosses and killed things 10x your size. Most people get a feeling of accomplishment from this game after beating it you’ll feel ready to take on a challenge.

You’ll feel ready to take on a challenge

The co-op multiplayer aspect of the game feels very detached. There is no way to communicate with allies, you have to assume they know what they are doing and assume that they can handle what’s coming. This helps to make the world feel detached and is not necessarily negative. Also important to note is multiplayer in your own world only works when you’re in body form. Body form is what your character is while they are alive. After you die you enter soul form. In soul form multiplayer is disabled however instead you can join another person’s game to help them kill a large demon and in turn get your body back. This is an interesting take on multiplayer as in my experience it’s the only multiplayer of its kind. While in body form you can also be invaded by enemy players. There is even one boss in the game that summons another player if available to play as the boss in your world. This is a fun boss fight for both the player and the boss mainly because both have something to gain. Should the boss win he not only gets his body back but receives an equipable hat for his trouble. The player gets his body back and gets to progress in the game further. In doing it this way it allows a more constant stream of players to play as the boss in the level. It’s also important to note that other players are automatically summoned to take part in this boss fight whether they are trying to join a game as an ally to help someone else or whether their goal was invasion.

Overall this game is an incredible game unique and fulfilling experience, one of the best games I’ve ever played.

I think I’m standing in the wrong place

Underneath the customary OS X fit and finish there’s a lot of new plumbing at work here. The entire OS is now 64-bit, meaning apps can address massive amounts of RAM and other tasks go much faster. The Finder has been entirely re-written in Cocoa, which Mac fans have been clamoring for since 10.0. There’s a new version of QuickTime, which affects media playback on almost every level of the system. And on top of all that, there’s now Exchange support in Mail, iCal, and Address Book, making OS X finally play nice with corporate networks out of the box.

For even more info on Snow Leopard check out the full reviews below!

General requirements

Mac computer with an Intel processor

1GB of memory

5GB of available disk space

DVD drive for installation

Some features require a compatible Internet service provider; fees may apply.

Some features require Apple’s MobileMe service; fees and terms apply.

The video below shows the speed improvements that Snow Leopard has. Here’s a video of those JPEGs cranking open in parallel, rather than serial, fashion:

Thanks to IGN.com for getting their hands on a early copy of Batman: Arkham Asylum and reviewing it. The game looks awesome and could possibly be a contender for game of the year! For those of you who don’t know, In Batman: Arkham Asylum the player assumes the role of Batman as he delivers The Joker to Arkham Asylum. There, the imprisoned super-villains have set a trap and an immersive combat gaming experience unfolds. With an original script penned by Emmy Award-winning Batman writer Paul Dini, the game brings the universe of DC Comics’ detective to life! Check out the video review below for all the details.
