The very slick and stylish Dell Adamo XPS laptop got it’s first look. We’re looking at a LED-backlit 13.4-inch, 720p widescreen display, 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo ultra-low voltage processor, GS45 integrated graphics, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 128GB thin-micro SSD, and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. In terms of connectivity, there’s 802.11a/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, location awareness, DisplayPort, two USB 2.0 ports (one on each side). The 20WHr Li-Ion battery can last up to 2 hours and 36 minutes, or you can get the optional 40WHr version instead for 5 hours and 17 minutes of claimed, lab-tested use. Other packaged goods include dongles for ethernet and VGA / HDMI, and for an added fee you can nab a DVD+/-RW drive, a Blu-ray drive, or an external hard drive measured at 250GB or 500GB in capacity. Mass Effect 2 Quick Preview

Here is a quick Mass Effect 2 preview by IGN.com. They go over many details of the game and what gamers might have in store for the sequel.

The developers confirmed that the combat system has been upgraded, with everything from the feel of the combat and the AI being improved, including realistic damage modeling and downed enemies still continuing to crawl and fight. New to the series is a heavy weapons system that will allow you to “kill [somebody] a thousand times” over.

MAG (Massive Action Game): Preview

Here is a preview of one of the PS3′s biggest games coming out next year called MAG. The game is a MMO FPS that allows for 250 people to play at the same time. MAG has three factions for you to start off in and gain rank the more you play and the better you get. The game is a PlayStation 3 exclusive and is scheduled for release on January 23rd 2010.

Albert over at com.puter.tv explains the ins and outs of this particular version of the all new windows 7 operating system. He does a comparison between the starter edition of Windows 7 and a normal copy of Windows 7 Home Premium. Showing the features that have been left out of the starter edition and ways Microsoft has made the version specific for netbooks.

Xbox 360 Dashboard Preview (Twitter & Facebook)

Microsoft was expected to release Twitter, Facebook, and Last.fm apps for the Xbox 360 as part of a system software update that went out back in August. It was decided that the apps should be delayed for a fall release. The company is still mum on an exact release, despite marketing materials on the U.K. Xbox.com site briefly pointing to a November 17 debut. Pessner confirmed that the new apps were indeed set for November release, but he could not provide a hard date. IGN.com has the new dashboard for the Xbox 360 and you can check out there preview of it below.

Sony’s EyePet Hands-on Preview

Here is a brief glimpse at the new PlayStation Eye-based augmented reality EyePet game from Sony, which is on track for a holiday release on the PS3. You can naturally play, feed, groom and customize your pet, even teach the thing to draw shapes and bring them to life in a sense. Looks surprisingly fun to just watch the little dude scamper around in seemingly real space. Check out Engadget.com’s video preview below.
