DEXTER one of my favourite shows on TV and also Showtime’s hit series is coming back for a 5th season (on september 26, 2010). After the jaw dropping traumatic events of at the end of season four Dexter’s life is forever changed as everything good that has built up in the last four seasons are slowly crumbling in front of him and he’s losing it.

DEXTER is a multi award winning show. and it’s 4th season had the highest Nielsen ratings in Showtime’s history with 2.6 million people in the united states watching it becoming the highest rated show in over a decade. The 4th season will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on August 17th 2010 the other 3 season is already available in stores.

For those that haven’t seen the series it’s about the title character Dexter Morgan a blood splatter analyst forensic investigator for the Miami Metro Homicide department. But he’s also a Serial killer that hunts and kills other serial killers.

At the age of three Dexter was exposed to something very horrible, so horrible it left him void of all normal human emotions, and filled with an urge to kill. Lucky the cop that rescued Dexter from his ordeal later became his adoptive father.

His new Father Harry Morgan a Miami Metro Police officer noticed signs that Dexter isn’t normal early on and later proven true when he found a grave of little animals that Dexter as a child had killed. Being a truly caring father and knowing that Dexter like other serial killers can’t control the urges he teaches Dexter that he can channel his urge to kill to do something good, To stop the bad people of the world that the cops couldn’t catch the criminals that slip through the legal system.

With that in mind they created the “Code of Harry” rules and guidelines that Dexter needs to live his life by. Killing only those that deserve to die, without ever getting caught by the police.
Being trained at a young age he learned to mimic human emotions to understand them, even if he couldn’t feel them himself, How to avoid suspicions, how spot other killers, how to kill them and most importantly how to do all this without getting caught.

The first video below is just a random promo from back in 2006 before season 1 was aired.
The second video below is a trailer for Season 5 released a few days ago at San Diego Comic-Con 2010 and for those that haven’t seen the first 4 seasons there is Spoiler alert ok?

Wouldn’t it be nice to sit on your couch and have a beer come to you? Normally a wife or girlfriend would be the the best solution to the problem. Well you can dump your girlfriend because a robot has been made to do just that. The robot is called PR2 and has been programmed by Willow Garage with a custom application called “Beer Me”. The robot is told which beer to get using a computer program, then the robot goes to the fridge and gathers the ones you wanted. The best part is it will only give the beer to whoever ordered it because it scans your face before releasing it. Now if only it could cook and clean…

Despite Steve Jobs’s ethical reservations, it’s clear that people want Flash on their iPads (or at the very least, developers want to find ways put it there). Recently we saw Smokescreen, a browser plug-in that pulls apart SWF binaries and reassembles them into something Apple-friendly. Taking a slightly different tack, the kids at the Artefact Group have been working on a service called Flash In A Pinch. Right now, it’s but a proof-of-concept, but it’s a pretty sweet concept at that: Flash is rendered on Artefact’s servers, which streams the images to the user’s Safari browser. By placing a Javascript layer on top of the content, the user’s touch interactions can be sent back to the server, making the whole megillah fully interactive. At present, the whole affair is a little too slow to use, and as of yet there is no sound, but all in all it’s a great start. Video after the break. Hit the source link for more technical details (and yet more videos).

After watching the trailers below I don’t know whether i am watching something that is legit or fake. Some people are saying that these trailer have been leaked and Sony is planning on showing them at E3 2010 this week. These two viral videos have appeared on the YouTube account named SCELabs. At first it was assumed that the clips were fan based, this is the perfect time to get Sony fans pumped up. To be honest, the two clips could very well be fake. So lets go to the people, do you think these videos are fake or real?

Wow how many people here still remember the old Mortal Kombat movies, I remember watching the first one in theatres with my cousin Angela and her boyfriend of the time. Back then I loved the movie I thought it was the coolest thing ever, I remember for the few days following the movie I was like all jumping and kicking. However as I got older I realized how truly terrible that movie was.

which brings me to my point. recently a short video of what looks like a trailer to a Mortal Kombat movie reboot was released on to the internet, no one seems to be saying what this video is for, some have speculated that it is a promo for the new Mortal Kombat game that is supposed to be shown during E3 2010, others think it is the rumoured movie reboot that is under Warner brothers production and said to be released in 2013 however Warner brothers had have been looking to reboot the movie for a while ever since they bought Midway. but the movie rights were already sold to Threshold Entertainment whom filed a lawsuit to prevent it from moving forward a while back.

So did Warner and Threshold decide to play nice or is this really just a game promotion? with the way game marketing have been going who knows, ( Assassin’s Creed Lineage, Alan Wake : Bright Falls)
but we do know the director of this short film is Kevin Tancharoen who was the director behind the remake of the movie FAME and for just a promo it sure has quite a few B rate actors.

Michael Jai White ( you might remember him from the movie Spawn)
Jeri Ryan ( Seven of Nine from Star Star Trek Voyager)
Ian Anthony Dale ( Lots of TV shows and I MEAN LOTS, and recently he was the Asian bodyguard in the movie Hangover)
Lateef Crowder ( Just some minor thug from The book of Eli )
Richard Dorton ( He’s done few TV roles but lots of motion capture for your favourite games )
Matt Mullin ( Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight)

Heres the video Enjoy
