Recap of Nintendo’s Media Summit 2010

Today was Nintendo’s Media Summit. Where Nintendo gives the details on what to expect and when to expect it in the coming year. Well Nintendo didn’t disappoint that’s for sure, they made quite a few announcements. First North America can expect to see the new Nintendo DSi XL on March 28th for $190, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Monster Hunter Tri, and Metroid other M all get a release date.

Nintendo DSi XL News:

First with hardware, today Nintendo has finally given the Nintendo DSi XL an North American release day of March 28th for only $190. The system will be available in Burgundy and Bronze at launch, and will be preloaded with both DSiWare Brain Age games, Photo Clock, the DSi Browser and Flipnote Studio.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 News:

To start with games Nintendo has announced Super Mario Galaxy 2 will be released on May 23rd. They also released a brand new Super Mario Galaxy 2 trailer that was shown off at the Nintendo Media Summit today. If you loved the original game then you will like this. The trailer shows off some fantastic looking gameplay that looks just as creative and imaginative as the original. Best part is you get to see Yoshi.

Monster Hunter Tri News:

Nintendo also announced that Monster Hunter Tri has gotten an American release date of April 20th andwill be packaged with a black Classic Controller Pro for $59.99 or sold as a game-only for $49.99. Another bonus is the game will be FREE to play online.

Metroid: Other M News:

Finally Metroid other M has also gotten a release date of June 27th. More details to come.
