4 Reasons why Modern Warfare 2 on PC wont be as good as the Original

With many popular games the squeals just don’t live up to the expectation as the original game did. This could be caused by different story, less features, or a change in the game design. With all the publicity of the new Modern Warfare 2 game coming out on November 10th you might not realize some of the stuff you will be missing from the original. So here we go, the following are the 4 reasons why Modern Warfare 2 on PC wont be as good as the original.

  1. No 32 player multiplayer. Whereas multiplayer sessions in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare allowed up to 32 players on the PC, Modern Warfare 2′s player cap will be reduced to 18, with 9-vs-9 matches just like the console versions.
  2. No dedicated servers. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be shipping without the usual multiplayer server browser, instead making use of a new matchmaking service called IWNet.
  3. No access to the console for advanced settings and options. Infinity Ward’s Vince Zampella confirmed the news in a community chat when a player asked if it’d be possible to change the FOV, weapon damage, perks, graphical debris, breathing sway, etc. Zampella simply replied, “We would like you to play the game the way we designed and balanced it.”
  4. Only available for download on Steam. Infinity Ward has a special contract with Steam the popular pay for downloading games service. This means that game can be bought off Steam or bought in stores. If you have a account with any other service like Direct2Drive you will be out of luck. These other sites don’t want to have to distribute Steam (a competitor) with the download.

So will these 4 reasons stop you from buying the game?
