have made a Step-by-Step tutorial on how to change the CPU in the Dell XPS M1530 laptop. Its important to note that every laptop is different when making changes like this, so if you don’t have a XPS M1530 don’t follow these steps. Some laptops don’t even allow for the CPU to be upgraded because it has been soldered onto the motherboard. Also when purchasing a new CPU make sure it will be compatible with your system (FSB, Socket type, voltages). I upgraded from a Intel Core 2 Duo T5250 to a T5550.
